POP is day after tmr! freeeedom!... or not... still have 1 year 8 months to go. by wednesday i will officially stop being a recruit and become a private. which would still make me the 2nd smallest fish in the SAF sea.
anyway im back from camp on a
tuesday cos 200 recruits managed to convince 1 lt colonel that we needed time off to fill in our scholarship and uni applications. anyway its all fair cos we got confined over the weekend to do our grenade throw and singapore discovery centre visit. SDC is totally different now. no more mcdonalds and large
silver-ball-rolling-up-and-down-ramps machine in the centre of the canteen.
grenade was not as scary as i imagined. the explosion was small and the shrapnel was non-existent. i expected the ball-bearings to whizz through the air, striking the glass at the observation deck with thousands of piak-piak noises but it was just a little dinky explosion that prob would not have killed me if i decided not to duck down behind the grendae bay. omg i just spelled grenade grendae. i walk the lonely road etc etc.....
anyway i pity the ppl who had to wait for the first blind, then the officers to eat lunch and then the 2nd blind all in one sitting in the afternoon sun. i only sat through lunch and the 2nd blind at that hot as hell zinc roof shelter but it was bad enough. one of my bunkmates, chang jie, is serving confinement for the blind even as i type this.
another highlight of the past week: games day! our mascot rocked. it proved that LBV with swimming trunks did actually work as a suitable uniform. LBV + swimming trunks + jockey cap with red tape "HG" lettering + black swimming goggles + half gloves+ boots + garters at thighs and upper arms = HAWK GAY!!! HOOOOOOOOO!
aw man it was awesome. jun jie ran out and shook his hips at the OCs! lol. all the 1lt looked amused while the warren officers looked annoyed. LOL

then I have to upload it. Then I have to hope the pic stays there and doesn't get deleted from the image hosting website. Bah leave it as a boat. I'm too lazy to change it.
