was checking some of the links on the side of janice's blog (check out her latest entry on the sony bavria ad while ur there) when i stumbled onto this awesome webcomic. its sort of serialized... yet with story arcs and character development. just the right balance of everything imo. humour is up there with vgcats and pennyarcade quality though less references to video games and a heckuva lot of references to indie music (while poking fun at emo-core bands).
pintsize and winslow are just about the most awesome side characters ever! they r sorta like girr from invader zim and the duck and the dog from liberty meadows.

THIS was the very first mecha show i ever watched... even before transformers, power rangers or any of the gundams. i had to be like... 3 maybe 4 at that time? it was freakin awesome. it had like this golden (yes GOLDEN baby) cigarette box (wait this is supposed to be a kids show right?) thing that fits into the palm of your hand that transforms into this huge bad ass square-bodied robot that vanquished... er... cant really rmb the baddies that much.
anyway i rmb watching the last ep. and the main charcter boy who owned the cigarette box was sad and crying cos the robot flew away into space to be with his other robot friends at the end of the series.
oh damn just rmb... ultraman! i definitely should have watched one of the ultramans before this right? or does ultraman count as mecha? ultraman is sort of more a silver-skinned alien thing right?

yeah... so i like test played ffxii yesterday. graphics were better than i remembered. seriously awesome jaw dropping shit. the whole feel is... different. not what u usually expect in FF games with ppl in modern-looking outfits with sci-fiesque buildings casting magics and whacking with swords.
only thing i can describe it as is star wars meets lotr. u have huge tie-fighter vs x-wings battles over the city ala revenge of the sith and on the ground, millions of human and the elves are pummeling millions of orcs on a grnad scale... but definitely not in a warcraft way. if ur thinking along the lines of "two towers" then u more or less got it.
gameplay... at least so far without the gambit system factored in yet... is more traditional than i expected. its the same old ATB but now u can have a run and gun system to conserve hp. u dont really just put ur conroller down and watch the game masturbate. u actually have to actively input commands... so yeah "intuitive ai".
as of the 2 hrs ive played... im seriously hating the maps and camera angles. the view is myopic with stupid buildings always blocking ur way and the minimap is confusing... especially since there is not option to invert camera controls so it is not the "shadow of the colossus" camera controls which i prefer but edmond's preferred "gta" camera controls.

The Wonders aren't real? i always thought the movie was "based on a true story" or something. i'm so disappointed. what was the point of all the "after the wonders, so and so went on to become a etc etc" at the end of the movie?
also if uve noticed around busstops there's this ad of a semi-badly done sketch of the face of some model named Pattie Boyd (soon to become mrs george harrison). zomg after reading the article i was amazed. she was like the ultimate rock and roll muse... inspiring eric clapton's "layla", "wonderful tonight"... the beatles' "something", "i need you"... the roling stones' "breathe on me"... etc.
whoa so many rock gods were in love with this one girl. george harrison, eric clapton, john lennon, ronnie wood, mick jagger....

i just received a weird email from a complete stranger. the subject was "haven't message me lately" and the contents just said: "believe in yourself."
just that. "believe in yourself". no links to porn or offers for cheap viagra/organ enhancement.
riiight. ok... i guess its kinda nice as an encouragement for a-levels... except for the fact that this was probably some random spam. an emal adress that ends with .de means their from denmark or germany or something right?
meh... there was probably a virus embedded somewhere in the email

saw a news report on this a few days ago on cna. the reporter was annoying. trying to be funny by talking to a puppet. act cute act cute. reallt irksome.
ok so in the midst of my a levels im reading deadpool. or more specifically cable and deadpool, i skipped to the newest series cos its not fun hearing deadpool blabber about pop-culture references 15 years old like GI joes and david copperfield.
anyway the storyline has been rather cool sofar, long story short... some guy hired deadpool to steal a virus so that he can turn everyone in the world blue, thereby eliminating racial differences. its a religion thing. cable & deadpool fight cos of theological differences etc... both become infected by the virus. cable becomes all techno-organic and deadpool becomes gooey.
so like the only way for them to save themselves is by merging their dna or something.
anyway cable is all like "i need your chromosomes in me now!". fag.
the merging process is totally gay, gross and cool at the same time.
ewwww... deadpool gets puked out and somehow his mutant healing factor allows him to reform from gooey vomit?
then they all go to SINGAPORE! zomg we should like give comic book writers a $100 everytime they mention us.
