alot of things to do. esp miss my comp. have to prepare for field camp goibng in for anoither 2 weeks... gg.

just found out that the whoite horse in our coy is in platoon 2. the "always kena sai from PS" platoon 2. wtf? the sergeants are actually treating the white horse worse than us?

army is sometimes sian sometimes alright. sometimes u rly feel that it is waste time. 2 whole years wasted! but other times it feels quite fun to do pt even though the pti is sadistic.

i hope and pray damn hard that i dont get posted to a school after bmt... then i can bookout everyday

got to get out of camp for half a day for psc interview. interview was gg. the interviewers all didnt look human, all stern faced lau ah peks 70+ years old. they ask really difficult questions and are damn strict and shit...

anyway army life as of day 5:

first 2 days was uber slack... totally do nothing except wait around in bunk, collect uniform and stuff. then suddenly day 3 we collect our rifle. wtf? we havent even learned any shit yet and they are alrdy issuing weapons that can kill to us.

anyway so far its been alright. never get to use the games room yet but it looks damn cool from the window. a pool table, 2 tvs, boardgames, table tennis?

seriously i think my company is white horse company lol. apparently someone in my platoon is the son of some chief of defense science. score! but so far its just been lessons and lessons... no tekan cos of white horse i think... either that or our pc and sarge are damn slack. ive come out of the army less fit than i went in cos we dont do much exercise and eat alot.

anyway i rmb one part of the many talks we had. our orientation officer was talking to us abt managing stress or something and he referred to things that stressors. lol. OO is 1337

by tmr ill be in tekong starting my ns life, surrendering my pink ic. grrr damn irritated right now. played tales of the abyss up till the point where my hacked version failed on me. the guy who hacked the game missed out 2 lines of voice dialogue. this coupled with a complicated sequence wherby the party is plit into 2 teams consisting of members of ur choice has made the text/dialogue coordination completely out of whack, making watching cutscenes confusing and disconcerting (cute little girl talks in a deep manly voice) and absolutely spoiling the entire gaming experience. thus i will be forced to either:
a) get the full eng non-hacked version (english dubs bleagh)
b) switch off all voices and miss out on the excellent japanese voice acting
c) give up the game entirely...

oh well, at least i wont be worryong abt any of this shit for the next 2 weeks. always look on the bright side. grrr stupid hackers... never do a good job... grrrr....

i think im focusing on this issue alot to get my mind off ns.

anyway my new hair is kinda cool right now. my hair dries faster than the inside of my ears after i shower and i somehow look shorter, something that i can afford to do.

this will probably be the last entry of this blog for the next 2 years that will not contain ns lingo and accronyms.

since it is cheaper to cut my hair than dye it black, im botak 2 days ahead of schedule. hmmm the skin feels quite raw especially around the back of my neck. im pleasantly surprised that my head is very very very round and doesnt look like a bullet or a lumpy potato-sack.

however my forehead is really high so i look like im balding prematurely. i look less like scoffield, more like abruzzi with a crew cut.

touching my hair is like touching a very rough brush, or perhaps somewhat like those mop-brushes that canteen aunties use not to clean the floor but to spread the water out more evenly, making it easier for students to slip and fall on their asses.

head doesnt really feel any lighter, probably because of the dread of ns weighing heavily on my shoulders.

i was rather freaked out at first at the amount of hair being shaved off. i thought: that is alot of hair. i never knew my hair was that thick. the barber had to shave off layer by layer till he finally reached my scalp cos he tried to shave it all at once the first time and my hair choked the electric razor.

but the barber is seriously quite pro. he knows th lingo asking if its haircut number 2. there are numbers for haircuts in the army? i wonder what number is for an afro? probably 69 or 42 or something. and he used 3 different razors with 4 different attachments and a manual non-electric razor. pro sia. i always thought army crew cut was just one razor and krrzzzzz krrrrzzzzz all gone.

to tekong i go! 3 days from now. got my stuff packed and got my uber nerdy looking glasses which is a sort of black-plastic thing that is actually really dark brown if seen under bright light. at first i thought the glasses were damn toot but it sort of grew on me so now i think it doesnt look half bad. my sis says it makes me look like a typical nsman hope that impresses my officers or watever.

wtf is up with the army? we're not allowed to wear boxers? only briefs? for the uninitiated, once uve made the switch from briefs to boxers... it is impossible to go back. its really... uncomfortable. plus boxers dry faster when washed! why briefs!!! its a stupid rule that has no fathomable reason whatsoever! BAH!

grrr... anyway in other news... despite (or perhaps maybe moreso because of) viewing this site, i still want a wii!

lol went to watch stranger than fiction yesterday. rocked. the premise was brilliant and the cast was freaking awesome. especially will farrel and emma thompson. the baker chick was cool too. lol favourite line

its not like them talkkiing abt wow. im comfortable hearing them talk abt wow cos im used to it, know a significant bit abt the lingo and am not ever going to play wow. i am however enlisting in 2 weeks time so they are all talking abt things that will concern me very soon and im all: "wtf dun understand"

ok im going to make sure that i wont talk abt army in front of girls... cause i understand their pain and confusion.
