leaving for taiwan on the 12th of april. pls dont call my handphone as ill have autoroam on. wont be back till the 8th of may.

1 month gone.... phew. hopefully i get some internet at the camp. hopefully.

anyway i'll be celebrating my birthday in taiwan. sad. no birthday off.

wish me good luck i guess. I'll be stuck on top of some mountain sharing a land rover with 2 other people fro about a week or so...

there is also dead fantasy 1 which is like... meh. not as exciting. I mean if i had watched dead fantasy 1 before dead fantasy 2 I would have been pretty ecstatic. especially since both movies were one-man jobs. but since I watched dead fantasy 2 first, DF1 is just a'ight... nothing mind-blowing.

these lucky ppl at some anime convention watched DF2's premiere live in front of a whole group of people going WHOOOOOOAAAA!!! and AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! awesome atmosphere. their reactions

well the translation for the comic is finally over... it's been a wild ride. an awesome comedy manga i'll say. i dont care how many times the gags are recycled, they still remain fresh even till this day.

its only 84 chapters long but it lasted like 3 years for me? cos the release are only once a month or something.

awesome stuff. comedy on par with fumoffu. read it!

I've always wondered why nintendo has been so pirate friendly recently. After all, not too long ago, nintendo consoles still ran on cartridges that made piracy really difficult. but of course the wii was modified within weeks of its release and playing pirated games on the ds is easier than poking a straw through the top of a bottle of yakult.

all this changed recently.

it was all a ploy by nintendo. You see, the console market has always been dominated by the ones that are the most pirate friendly. thus explaining the success of the ps and the ps2. however, having pirate friendly consoles meant that game developers lost money. since the biggest game developers for nintendo were nintendo (best selling games are mario and zelda) they kept anti-piracy measures rather strict and thus lost market share to sony.

so now nintendo learnt from their mistakes. while sony makes its consoles near impossible to pirate with blu-ray and constant psp firmware updates. nintendo steadily allows its wii and ds to be the top-selling consoles on the market by making it super pirate friednly.

Then when consumers are lulled into a false sense of security, they STRIKE swiflty and with great prejudice with THIS!



isn't this the cutest little error message ever? well it isn't! It's been dubbed the "thank you for playing error message from hell" the "moogle of death" that affects pirated ds that try to play final fantasy crystal chronicles:ring of fates.

wii owners are not spared when they are AMBUSHED unawares with THIS!



when they attempt to play super smash bros brawl on a modified wii. even those who bought an original copy of ssb are not spared. all modified wiis are affected. poor james has been severely dealt a blow because of this. especially since ssb is THE game for the wii.

nintendo has issued their ultimatum... the reckoning is upon us...

It has finally happened. my ear phones have decided to die on me.

after surviving 3 trips through tthe washing machine, my old sony earphones have moved on to a better place. more specifically the right earphone died. so today i bought new ones. panasonic with a free carrying case. so that it doesnt get sent through a maelstrom of laundry detergeant again.

havent treid out the sound quality but the box says "turbo bass" and since im a bass freak i guess itd be good.

only prob is it doesnt fit my ear as well as my old sony ones. the in-ear rubber is thin and just not spongy enough. what's more the earphones are angled. weirdly. so they dont actually fit.

so after fiddling around with it abit i finally got it to fit nicely by

a) swapping the medium-sized rubber earbuds with the small ones, which are slightly more spongy

b) wearing the earphone that says "L" in my right ear and the one that says "R" in my left ear.

riiight. panasonic should improve their earphone designs. blech.

normally im a very careful buyer but this time I just anyhow buy. cos im booking in later tonight and my earphones died late last night. next time i prob wont get panasonic.

plus i bought it at best denki. so it is overpriced. ah well..... at least it comes with extensions and a carrying case... which the sony one doesnt have.

it is funny, poignant, thoughtful... by far the best movie I've watched in years.

Juno has the wittiest lines ever written. imagine tarantino's best lines... then make tarantino younger (gen y instead of gen x), a woman, and capable of having enough stamina to fill an entire film script with excellent dialogue from front to back.

that is diablo cody. kudos to her.

in other news... i borrowed half of batman:the long halloween again. it seems im destined to never read the full long halloween. this copy is missing the last few chapters so i can read the ones in the middle that i missed. i still think im missing 1 or 2 chapters.

i also found 300 in the library. the movie is an exact carbon copy of the comic. i kid you not. its just too similar.
