hihi back from batam. i went there and enjoyed the sand, the sea and the rain. it was sunny only on the last day when we had to book out of the resort. story of my life.
anyway... i so want to watch stranger than fiction, because: 1) it is the namesake of my blog 2) it stars a tax auditor 3) its about a guy who suddenly can hear the voice of the narrator in the movie so it not exactly breaks the 4th wall, probably the 3.5th wall tho 4) the main character finds out through the narrator that the writer wants to kill him off. 5) it has a scene of Dustin Hoffman reading "the graduate" 6) apparantly each character has the last name of a famous mathematician, which would make me realise I am a total geek for including this on the list, if not for the fact that earlier in the week i laughed when i watched this video on youtube

This is what I've been watching repeatedly the whole of today and yesterday. wicked awesome! plus this is the jap intro but lucky for me i dlded the hacked version of TotA that has jap voices and tracks but english text. score!
only problem is that fmvs have no eng subtitles so ill just have to infer what theyre saying. also the face talk cutscenes are just plain eng text. no jap voices. hmmm i wonder why. probably couldnt fix it i guess

why the f*** is the latest f***ing story arc of get fuzzy f***ing censored? excessive viol****?
THAT'S how long ippo has been going on. 15 years and counting and the main char still has yet to fight his main rival. I think i had to be about 3-4 years old when super nintendo came out? not sure.
anyway ippo game for wii. yaaay. graphics like shit tho. seriously, they should have at least cheated a little and use cell shading or something. oh well. hopefully the game will be fun and you will be able to do some of the special moves. i'd hate to think that to perform the dempsey roll i'd have to move my controllers in an infinity pattern over and over...

just watched the season finale of justice league unlimited season 1. The whole thing and the other episodes leading up to/after it is all one whole big inside joke. baiscally the writers or whatever decided to have a whole lex luthor/flash dynamic going on because michael rosenbaum plays the flash in JLU and lex luthor in smallville. so in an alternate universe president lex executes flash causing superman to be pissed and kill lex and take over as leader of the world. in the season finale, lex tries to kill flash to spark off the same effect in this universe, flash takes him down by running around the world and hitting lex many times a la my final heaven x 20. in season 2 lex and flash swap minds etc... ha. ha. ha. yes funny insider references... get on with it.
oh well at least a flash/lex luthor rivalry is preferred to boring old superman/lex showdown that will always involve kryptonite and superman/lex failing to die despite all the odds.
ZOMG just stumbled onto something. Mark Hamill=the joker! freaky! i always thot that the VAs for batman and the joker in the batman animated series were good but never did i realised the joker was luke skywalker himself.

Was channel surfing yesterday when i saw that power rangers was starting. i thought: ok i havent watched power rangers in a long time... lets check it out. then BAM! turns out it was the legendary forever red episode. Score!
anyway after the wave of nostalgia faded, i came to the awful realisation that the acting ability of ur average power ranger sucks. were the lines always that cheesy? was tommy and jason always so stiff? i always remembered the acting as being at least passably below average... or maybe its just that the collected acting might of all the red rangers is pathetic...
there were some cool scenes though. like when they all morphed they morphed together in quick succession with all the morphing scenes from different sseasons. one guy even morphed out for 5 seconds so that he could be part of the morphing scene. well... almost all of them morphed anyway. there's this one guy who was permanantly stuck in the costume (real actor couldnt make it?) so at the end of the rest of the morphing scenes he just struck a pose.
interestingly enough... i dun rmb seeing rocky. after reading wikipedia, i found his excuse stupid. "retired from acting?" c'mon this is a tribute episode, at least make a 5 min appearance.
the fighting scenes and everything was cool tho. i had almost forgotten how good they were. there were some moments of jacky-chanesque "kicking of hech man through the gap below a desk to hit other henchmen behind" moments and lots of john woo/matrix "somersaulting and diving while firing, dodging laser blasts" moments. i was actually surprised at the increased number of gunfights... which would make more sense than having a gun but deciding instead to use ur fists/plastic sword.
