Billions of Blistering Barnacles!9:35 PM

quote from 2lt marcus:
"If you don't have blisters, you are ain't a man".

lol. i still find it hard to believehow bad marcus' grammar is. he speaks in a perfectly english educated sounding voice. he looks english educated. he went to ri and then vj. so why the hell does he make such memorable quotations?

SOC... sibei jiak lat...

blisters suck. they hurt like hell as it is and even worse when u are swinging on the monkey bars. monkey bars were so much easier as a kid. u only realise how old and fat u've become after doing monkey bars again after a break of 10 years.

the blister hurt when u open ur palm. the blisters hurt when it touches water. hell they hurt as i type.

IPPT... lagi worse...

my intelligent commanders lost our last diagnostic ippt results and then we had to redo ippt diagnostic and do the actual evaluation test the day after that. so i went from fail to silver to silver to pass. a pass for my actual evaluation. wtf! i want my silver back!

i was not the only one. the reason why everybody did worse for the evaluation was not so much because we had 2 ippts so close together. but also because we had jam packed pt sessions in the days inbetween. bcct, soc, ist... all abbrevations that would be meaningless if ur not in ns.

quotes from bmt:
2lt marcus: harnesses your ropes... eh? wait... eh? correct what harnesses is plurals correct?
2lt marcus: u laugh at my english issit? any probrems?

yi peng: fuck off fly!
me: if u tell the fly to fuck off it will just multiply and there will be more flies

me: wha sit test is so shiok... its like a barbeque... qithout the barbeque...

hihi just back from sit test. fun-filled adventure camp for 3 days. sadly i had a harrowing experience with a centipede attack last night. basically this is what happened: i woke up with a stiff back and wanted to stretch. my space being limited in my tent i crawled out and just as i lifted my leg i felt a swoosh as something rather long and plasticky fell into the part of my pants leg where the knee is.

i immediately stood up and started to shake my pants leg, trying to get the stupid bugger out. during which there was one instance when i felt the unpleasant tingling sensation of many many little legs running up my thigh before falling back down to my ankle.

at this point i shouted to my tent buddy in a hoarse whisper,

me: andrew!
andrew: hmmm? (sleepily)
me: there's something in my pants
andrew: uhhhhh...
me: i think its a centipede
andrew: (wide awake) oh shit!

at the sound of the word "centipede" abt 1/4 of the company immediately woke up from their tents and started to shine their torches at me. i was insttructed by abt 20 of the 50 pple who were awoken to take off my pants. thus in the middle of the night with multiple spotlights, i performed a strip tease act. alas the centipede was stuck at my left ankle where my pants was pooling around.

at this point i tred to remove the pants from my right ankle firstso that i can pull that left one out in one swift motion. it was at abt this point when the filthy bugger bit me.

there was a flaming sensation on my left ankle and i shouted out loud, waking up the rest of the company. some pple called "go get the commanders" while others called "killitkillitkillitkillit!" thus with my pants at my feet and my left ankle on fire, i started to tapdance in the moonlight with illumination from multiple torches.

medic came, said it wasnt a centipede and gave me a plaster... he told me to just tahan the pain which was now making my calf muscles ache. the pain subsided but the muscles on my left leg ached like collected fatigue and the pain still kept me awake the rest of the night.

i dozed off for abt 45 min at arnd 4 am only to wake up to feel the pain multipled by 1000 cos everyone knows that any pain is amplified when u just woke up. the rest of the day was agony whenever i rested my weight on my left leg. i was the only person that was trailing behind and sweating bullets from the easy as pie 2 click route march that we had to do on the 3rd day.

oh well by late afternoon the pain was mostly gone and i just got back from a REAL doctor with REAL medicine. not the shit they give us at the mo in tekong

i thought it was impossible4:20 PM

i just witnessed one of my church friends putting a cherry stalk in his mouth and tying a knot in it with his tongue. and he asked us nonchalently "u all cannot do meh?"

pro.

i always thought that the whole tying a knot with ur tongue thing was an urban legend. like licking the tip of ur nose, licking ur elbow and touching ur wrist unassisted with the finger on the same hand. and ive realsised that i have witnessed all these 4 so called impossible acts thanks to peh peh, huang jing and now zhen yang.

kk gojing to go back to camp real soon. 1830 book in time is damn early. but anway cny is something to look forward to. apparantly its 5 days off. i thot it was just 3-4 but supposedly everyone books out on friday.

sit test next. heard its super shack. should i wayang to get into ocs? dunno not sure... i have a feeling if im not going to ocs they will definitely put me into sispec so ill try to get the better of the 2 i guess....

2 days worth of bookout time is totally worth being confined for another 2 weeks. so happy to be back from camp just finished field camp.

field camp was actually rather fun i must say. i actually expected it to be alot worse but i was cheerful throughout the entire thing, even when being tekaned even though my platoon wasnt tekaned much. i think it was mainly because it didnt rain. the digging of the trench was shit though. my back hurt like 9 different levels and 14 different favours of hell after the whole thing.

abt the whole tekan thing. my coy is alrdy rather welfare as it is. i think its cos of our uber nice csm who instills on all the commanders (even the oc i think) the hawk coy culture which is to punish us justifiably. ie to say we only get punished when we screw up. and platoon ic always gets it alot worse so we all feel bad. u feel reaaaaaallly guilty when u watch ur fellow bunkmate (poor kai cheng) go from 20 pushups to 20 crunches to 20 pushups to 20 flutterkicks and stay in flutter kick position for 10 minutes and do 20++(countless restarts from 0) more after his legs drop to the floor while u just stand there and watch.

lucky for now we have yi peng as the new platton ic and hes super fit. he also shouts at us like a bastard and hurries us along... which is a good thing and everyone truly appreciates it that he acts like a bastard. im serious. we are all rly thankful that there is somebody shouting at us with a scowl on his face ensuring that we are rdy 5 min before the actual reprting time.

anyway according to one of our sgts, the rest of our plattons sgts are rather pissed at us cos they think they have been cutting us too much slack and we are taking advatage. considering everything, i think my platton is the most garang of the coy though i agree we lack discipline. so hopefully we will try to be more sharp so that our commenders will continue being nice and understanding to us.

Why is there a picture of some boats here? It's because I'm too lazy to link another picture. First I'd have to find a pic which is the right size, then I have to upload it. Then I have to hope the pic stays there and doesn't get deleted from the image hosting website. Bah leave it as a boat. I'm too lazy to change it.
